My name is Dale Picha and I work for the City of Bryan. On Friday, August 22, the city will be converting the intersection of Copperfield Drive and Canterbury Drive to a 3-way (or all-way) stop-controlled intersection, where all motorists approaching from each direction will be required to stop. This change is as a result of increased through traffic on Copperfield Drive in the northbound direction and the ever increasing congestion around Sam Houston Elementary during the morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up times, and around the crosswalk just north of this intersection. My traffic studies certainly support the change to an all-way stop, and it should be an added safety enhancement at the intersection as well as (and more importantly) at the school crosswalk.
The Copperfield Homeowners' Association and the Copperfield subdivision was established by the developer in 1983 and is documented in Volume 574, Page 627 and Volume 588, Page 837 of the Deed of Records of Brazos County, Texas, filed May 5, 1983.
If you are new to the Copperfield Community, the officers and directors of the Association welcome you and express their desire that you and your family will find the neighborhood to be an enjoyable place in which to live. The Association continues to work to enhance the beauty, safety, and well being of the community. The funds generated from the assessments levied by the Association are used to carry out this work plus the maintenance of the organization. This web site is one of the avenues in which information is provided to the members. It is continually being improved, so keep in touch for new features and information.
Property owners in Copperfield Sections 1, 2, 4, 6, 10A,10B,10C,10D and 10E are members of the Copperfield Homeowners' Association and are required to pay an annual assessment of $75.00 due and payable on June 1 of each year. The amount of the annual assessment is determined by the board of directors. These funds are used to maintain the common grounds and properties and operate the Association.
Copperfield is a community with restrictions and covenants that set standards for the use of any property within the bounds of the sections listed above. Each section has different restrictions, so one should check the covenants and conditions before altering improvements or lots. You will find more detailed information about these by clicking on the selection titled CCRs under the Legal Documents button.
Frequently asked questions about the community are featured and can be reached by clicking on that menu button or here. If your questions are not answered there, you can e-mail a message to the board or a standing committee on the comment form here.
Suggestions for the improvement of the neighborhood, or what needs to have the
attention of the Association should be directed to the Board of Directors by writing to
Directors, Copperfield HOA, PO Box 5911, Bryan TX 77805-5911 or email using the comment and suggestions form.
You may also offer you suggestions for content, improvement, and other ideas by sending e-mail to
the webmaster at webmaster@copperfieldbryan.org. The web committee is available on the comment form as well.
